About the event

Due to the poor air quality forecast for this evening, Centred Outdoors has made the decision to cancel tonight's Wellness Wednesday: Forest Bathing at Rhoneymeade.

We hope to provide an opportunity to reschedule this event in the future, at a time when deep breathing in the outdoors will be healthy for everyone!

At this time, the guided walks at Rhoneymeade are still scheduled for Thursday morning. Please check our social media accounts and/or website for changes. Visit https://www.centredoutdoors.org/events for other upcoming events!

Sturdy shoes and a filled water bottle (32 oz. or more per adult) are necessary for all outings. Water filling stations are not available at all locations.

Centred Outdoors will host free and guided events at Rhonymeade Arboretum the week of June 25th. Our Wellness Wednesday activity will take place on Wednesday, June 28th at 6:00 p.m. This week's activity is Forest Bathing, with Lucy Heggenstaller Certified Nature Therapy guide and PA Master Naturalist. This week's co-host is the State College Community Diversity Group. Since  2001, CDG has led the effort to attract and retain a diverse group of  individuals to share in fostering a community based on inclusion and  equity.

This  experience is divided into "invitations" intended to awaken the senses  and promote mindfulness, encourage the imagination, and promote nature  connection. Please dress comfortably with sturdy shoes and bring water.  Our Shuttle Van is available on June 28th - sign up to reserve your seat!

Join informative guided hikes at this location:

Sunday, June 25th at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (a 2-mile hike around this timeless setting nestled between the Nittany and Tussey Mountains)

Thursday June 29th at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (a shorter, 0.5 mile walk through the gardens around the homestead.)

Find inspiration and relaxation through art and nature at Rhoneymeade, the historic homestead of Grange Fair founder, Leonard Rhone. An arboretum and sculpture garden, as well as historic buildings dot the property. Hike around the 150-acre working farm that includes a wooded labyrinth loop, or tour the 6-acre public gardens which surround the house and contain outdoor sculptures, ancient specimen trees, and fantastic vistas.

Please leave pets at home and note these tips while visiting Rhoneymeade.
