New collection of pastel art by Jennifer Shuey raises money and awareness for ClearWater Conservancy
An expressive and colorful new art exhibition will showcase a five-month collaboration between artist Jennifer Shuey and ClearWater Conservancy. Jen hiked along at more than a dozen featured local landscapes in ClearWater Conservancy’s 2023 Centred Outdoors program used the experience as a springboard for a personal creative challenge.
“I am a big fan of the work that ClearWater does in our region to protect and steward natural lands and waters with important conservation values,” said Jennifer, a pastel artist with a growing following in central Pennsylvania. “By capturing and sharing the beauty and variety of these special places through my new collection of art, I hope to shine a spotlight on ClearWater’s conservation mission and encourage more people to engage with them in this important work.”
Hosted by State College Framing Company & Gallery at 160 Rolling Ridge Drive in State College, Jennifer’s solo art exhibition will run from October 6 through November 3.
All are invited to the exhibition’s opening reception on Friday, October 6 from 5:30 – 8 pm, which will feature delicious hors d’oeuvres by Harrison’s and wines from Mount Nittany Vineyard & Winery. Twenty percent of all sales from this project will be directed to ClearWater Conservancy to help ensure that special places like these are protected and accessible to us all.
